The designers we work with take approximately 6-8 months to deliver. You should build in 4-6 weeks after the dress arrives and some extra time for accessory appointments and fittings. We therefore suggest that you start looking approximately 18 months prior to your wedding so that you have time to visit and decide without being rushed.
If you don't have 6-8 months to order please still call us as we have an ongoing sample sale and can direct you to these styles.
To ensure the best possible service and to have the full collection of dresses available to you we operate by appointment only. During your appointment you have exclusive use of our bridal room and are welcome to bring 6 additional guest with you.
Ivory Pinks offers our brides exclusive use of the bridal room which means there will be no other brides in the room during your appointment.

Our sample dresses are size 10 to 22, Our new room will be open in the summer with the same designers offering sizes from 22 to 30.
We find out a bit about you, your wedding venue and theme; this is discussed with one of our bridal stylists. Then the best bit starts when you and your bridal party select dresses you wish to try on. As you are being fitted into your selected dresses, in our large fitting room, your bridal party can enjoy tea, coffee or prosecco and Scottish shortbread whilst waiting for you to reveal your choice of dresses.
During your appointment, with your permission, our stylists will suggest dresses that they feel will flatter your shape and encourage you to try these on. We know our dresses and how they fit on the body – this is often not recognisable to you on a hanger.
Although it would be sensible to wear a strapless bra in either white or nude we do want you to be comfortable so whatever you would usually wear is fine and we can always remove straps or tuck them in. We suggest you bring a hair clip or kirbies as some dresses you select may have a neckline that would suit your hair up.
Please ensure you do not wear fake tan as we like to ensure the dresses are kept beautiful for all our brides to try on and fake tan does not come off the fabric. We have a covered block for you to stand on to lift the length of the dresses off the floor so at this stage you do not need shoes. We can provide new shoes for you to try if required.
We want to devote our attention to looking after you and helping you find your perfect dress so, whilst it is an important decision and you do want advice from others, we suggest you bring 2-3 guests. Close family and a friend will always be truthful with you and enjoy the experience with you.
Too many opinions can cause you confusion and distract you from taking in the details of each dress. We do allow children in Ivory Pinks but in order for you to relax and not be worried about them outside the fitting room it is advisable to bring someone who can look after them. Unfortunately we do not have baby changing facilities.
Ivory Pinks is fortunate to have an extremely well qualified seamstresses and dressmakers with over 20 years experience. We normally require 2/3 fittings once your dress has arrived. Our fitting days are Thursdays. We can offer, in certain circumstances, weekend appointments direct with our seamstress.
Alterations are charged separate from the price of your dress. We are approximately £100 to £350 for alterations depending on the work required. Fittings are carried out 4/8 weeks prior to your wedding date. We are able to store your dress at Ivory Pinks until your wedding. Please bring your wedding underwear and shoes to your fitting as we need to ensure a perfect fit.
Most visitors park accross from Ivory Pinks on the side street next to Cut Fish or if coming from Uddingston park to the left of the Shanghi Teahouse.
Bothwell has numerous beautiful places for lunch, cocktails or simply a coffee within minutes of the shop and you may wish to visit before or after your appointment.
